A reasonably easy species to sex.

Like many other manikins the cock's

bill is slightly shorter and stubbier. But the easiest way to identify the cock is by comparing the white on the head. The cock's head is a much more solid white than that of the hen.

The white covers more area on the cock's head, and is much more brighter especially on the Crown (cock left in both pics)

Lastly the cock also has a bit more red pigment in the rump.
